In the evening at Jacob, the whole table joins in. You order a few dishes together, share them, and order more if you’re still hungry. Warm and cold, fish, meat and vegetarian, each with a wine to match. Brasserie Jacob van Bijstervelt is the restaurant of Landgoed Bijstervelt in Oirschot, fifteen minutes from Eindhoven.

How the evening works

  • A dish in a dark blue earthenware bowl: young carrot, small tomatoes and shaved vegetables with nasturtium.

    Sharing together

Cold and warm dishes arrive at the table over the course of the evening. Start with a few, order more whenever you like.

  • Rosé being poured into a wine glass bearing Jacob’s crest, on the terrace.

    A wine with every dish

The menu suggests a wine for every dish. Many of our wines are served by the glass.

  • The brasserie of Jacob van Bijstervelt: long wooden tables with light-coloured chairs, a ceiling of wooden slats with hanging greenery, and large windows.

    With your group

For seven or more people we serve a set shared dining menu, at our long wooden tables.

From nearby

Pure flavours from Brabant

We cook with what the region gives us. Eggs from Latijnhouwers in Best, beef from Crole, smoked eel from Rijpelaal in Helmond and, in season, asparagus from Van Gerwen in Oirschot. The kitchen is in the hands of culinary director Niek van Lieverloo and his team. Artisan, pure, generous and refined.
