The people behind the menu
At Jacob everything revolves around the gold of Brabant: respect for the past, combined with the quality of the region. We work with the finest local ingredients, from artisan cheeses to freshly picked vegetables and fruit, and give them a modern twist. Every supplier has a story, and you will find that story on our menu. The kitchen is in the hands of culinary director Niek van Lieverloo and his team.

Since 1772
Landgoed Bijstervelt was built in 1772 on the foundations of a medieval castle. The imposing Kapel Montfort, with its stained-glass windows and murals, is the spiritual heart of the estate, and the brasserie stands right next to it.
In 2018 the monumental buildings and the park were restored to their former glory. In 2022 Klaas van Leengoed and Niek van Lieverloo opened the doors again, as part of the Lievergoed Collectie.
Among the historic trees of the park, the soul comes to rest. Bijstervelt breathes history and spirituality, but with a heart for the good life: this is where you celebrate life in serene beauty. Tip: come a little early and take a walk through the estate garden.

On Landgoed Bijstervelt, Montfortlaan 12 in Oirschot, about 15 minutes’ drive from Eindhoven. You can park on the estate. Parking is free.
Brabant cooking with a golden twist: around twenty shared dining dishes made with local ingredients, changing with the seasons. By day we serve lunch, coffee and cake and our Golden High Tea.
Booking is recommended, especially at weekends. For the Golden High Tea we ask you to book at least 24 hours ahead.
