A new name
Brasserie Jacob V is now Jacob van Bijstervelt
You may have known us as Brasserie Jacob V, or as the brasserie at Kasteel Bijstervelt. Since 24 September we have been Brasserie Jacob van Bijstervelt. Same place next to Kapel Montfort, same team, with a new name, our own website and a new menu.

Why Jacob van Bijstervelt?
The name is a nod to the history of the estate. Jacob is inspired by Jacob Dirk, Baron Sweerts de Landas, whose family was closely tied to Landgoed Bijstervelt. The estate was built in 1772 on medieval foundations, and we like to pass those stories on at the table.
What’s new?
Pure flavours with a golden twist. In the evening it’s shared dining: smaller dishes to share, such as the tuna tataki or the smoked burrata.

You can also join us for a generous lunch, with the Oirschot curry soup as the chef’s tip, for coffee and cake, or for the Golden High Tea. From Wednesday to Saturday we serve it in the brasserie, and on Sunday in Kapel Montfort, beneath the stained-glass windows.
Everything in one place
From now on you’ll find everything about the brasserie at jacobvanbijstervelt.nl: the menu, the high tea, opening hours and online booking. For weddings, parties and business events, kasteelbijstervelt.nl is still the place to go.
